I bought several magazines and fanzines from Tom last year but he had a fair amount of new material this year for me to look over. I did buy from Tom 20 issues of Gary Carter's excellent fanzine from the 1990s, The Comic Book Marketplace and 10 issues of late 1940s, early 1950s Robert Harrison cheesecake magazines like Wink and Whisper that are rare in high grade. Also four issues of an oversize film magazine named Show from the early 1970s I had never seen before. Sadly, Tom decided he didn't want to sell the fanzine at right, Graphic Story World #12 from the 1970s which was a an issue devoted entirely to the artist Basil Wolverton. I'll give him a year to think about it and try again. I spent so much time with Tom I didn't have time to take any photos of the other dealers setting up except for Tom and Mark Hickman. |

Here's Mark with a copy of the venerable science fiction pulp Astounding Science Fiction from 1941 that contains the first appearance of Isaac Asimov's most famous short story, Nightfall. |
