Your narrator, the Leader
The Leader attended the Williamsburg Nostalgia Fest 9 - 11 November 2022. He enjoyed seeing his dealer friends C.P. Lockhart, Sam Austill, Leon Vincent, Bubba Williams and Gene Carpenter who always attend this show. This is the first show under the new management of Martin Grams and Gene Carpenter and it was Marty's reputation as an energetic promoter of his own show the Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Con that brought in some dealers from that show who don't normally attend this show: Art Harvey, Pete Santili, Frank Brevard and Brendan Faulkner. With the new management the exact time and location of future shows isn't resolved yet and the Leader will wait for further developments with interest.

Bubba with one of his Colt pistols and Indiana Jones bullwhip. Most of the items on his table were hand mande by him.
Leon Vincent
I last saw movie memorabilia dealer Leon Vincent of Bowling Green, Kentucky at the Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Con last September. After the show was over 12 November Leon and his wife Pat stayed over a few days in Williamsburg. On 14 November Leon and Pat drove down to my town of Virgina Beach and I took them on a sight seeing trip to the nearly deserted off-season Virginia Beach boardwalk. Pat took a picture of Leon and I with the famous King Neptune statue.
Leon Vincent
Leon with a lobby card from The Bridge On The River Kwai, 1957 showing William Holden trying to make out with Ann Sears. The other lobby card is from a movie I never heard of Five Bold Women, 1960 starring statuesque Irish McCalla. Irish appeared in lots of cheesecake pictorials in men's magazines is best remembered for starring as Sheena Queen Of The Jungle in the syndicated TV series of the same name 1955-56. Here's a closeup of the lobby card. with Irish McCalla's signature.

John Morrow
I first met John Morrow, owner of TwoMorrows Publishing at the Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Con last September. I have bought several issues over the years of John's flagship magazine The Jack Kirby Collector and several of their hardcover books on the history of comic books. I was pleased to see on Amazon.com recently TwoMorows forthcoming book (August 2023) The Best Of Simon & Kirby's Mainline Comics with reprinted and restored stories from Police Trap, In Love, Bullseye, Foxhole from the early 1950s. John also told me about another book being worked on now about the pulp magazine artist Matt Fox. I like Fox's quirky style on pulps like Weird Tales and some of Marvel's early 1960s science fiction stories.
John Morrow
John is holding here a display copy (not for sale) of an upcoming issue of The Jack Kirby Collector. Normally I wouldn't be interested in the cartoon animation work Kirby did for the TV networks in the last few years of his career. But, I thumbed through this magazine and it looks interesting so I will order it from my comic book store guy Wayne Zeno when I see it advertised in the Diamond Previews.
Frank Brevard
Frank is holding the paperback book by British author John Wyndham The Midwich Cuckoos which was made into the movie Village Of the Damned, 1960 starring George Sanders. The $125 compact disc has the soundtracks from two Hammer Films: She, 1965 starring Urula Andress and The Vengeance Of She, 1968. I saw She in the theater in 1965 but don't remember it well. If it ever comes on Blu-Ray I will buy it. The Gold Key comic The Phantom #8, 1964 I remember vaguely having as a kid. It has a CBCS yellow label which shows any signatures are certified. The cover is signed by Billy Zane who starred as the Phantom in the 1996 movie.
Roseanne Vrugtman, Bob Lentz
I first met Roseanne Vrugtman at the Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Con last September. Roseanne and Bob were setup at this show to try and recruit some new members to their Zane Grey's West Society.
Roseanne Vrugtman

C.P. Lockhart, Gene Carpenter
C.P. and serene Gene having a lengthy conversation.
Jim Frost
The Leader's traveling companion Jim Frost had done most of his wheeling and dealing with Gene Carpenter the day before but Jim stopped by again today. I asked him to pose with one of the comics he got from Gene and he produced this softcover book Creepshow based on the 1982 movie of the same name written by Stephen King. The cover is by EC artist Jack Kamen and the interior art is by Berni Wrightson. I'll next see Jim and Gene at the Virginia Comic Con in Richmond 19 November 2022.
Sam Austil, C.P. Lockhart
My two favorite modern day cowboys Sam and C.P. immersed in Sam's cowboy merchandise and brandishing their pistols.
C.P. Lockhart
C.P. Lockhart at his photogenic best.
