Your narrator, the Leader
The Leader attended the Williamsburg Nostalgia Fest 9 - 11 November 2022. He enjoyed seeing his dealer friends C.P. Lockhart, Sam Austill, Leon Vincent, Bubba Williams and Gene Carpenter who always attend this show. This is the first show under the new management of Martin Grams and Gene Carpenter and it was Marty's reputation as an energetic promoter of his own show the Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Con that brought in some dealers from that show who don't normally attend this show: Art Harvey, Pete Santili, Frank Brevard and Brendan Faulkner. With the new management the exact time and location of future shows isn't resolved yet and the Leader will wait for further developments with interest.

Kimberly Berry
I first met Kimberly Berry at the Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Con last September. Here's Kimberly with a nice assortment of popular culture items.
Kimberly Berry
Kimberly with a John Wayne calendar.
Tom Crawford, Henry Kane, Ed Pippin, Mike Turco, Jim Miller
These celestial gentlemen are most of the members of the Solar Guard club. The club is devoted to an appreciation of 1950s TV shows like Tom Corbett, Space Cadet. I see them twice a year without fail at this show and the Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Con.
Pete Santili
This was Pete Santili's first time at this show and he couldn't be fit into either of the two dealers' rooms so he setup his autographed photo tables in the main hallway. I told Pete the consolation was nobody could get into or out of the main dealer's room without passing by his tables. Here's Pete with autographed photos of the two most famous female Italian movie stars of the 1950s and 1960s: Sophia Loren and Gina Lollobrigida.
Roseanne Vrugtman
Roseanne giving her presentation of the life and books of author Zane Grey.
Martin Grams, Brendan Faulkner
Veteran movie poster and science fiction book dealer Brendan Faulkner with his vast array of memorabilia. On his right is this show's new promoter Martin Grams.
Brendan Faulkner
Brendan with the press book for the 1951 movie The Golden Horde Of Genghis Khan. I like old movies about ancient and medieval history and although this movie isn't one of the best examples of that genre, I still want it on DVD. Believe it or not the guy who plays Genghis Khan is radio and TV actor Marvin Miller who played Michael Anthony in the 1950s TV series The Millionaire. The movie does have some actors I like such as David Farrar, Richard Egan and Henry Brandon.
There isn't even a bootleg DVD of this obscure movie so I'll have to wait for a Blu-Ray disc. It's likely to be a long wait. I would have bought this press book from Brendan but it had a chip cut out of the front cover. I do have a set of lobby cards from this movie I bought in Bruce Hershenson's movie auctions several years ago.
Art Harvey, Mitchell Harvey
Art and his son Mitchell presiding over Art's huge collection of movie posters and photos. Art and a few other dealers couldn't be fit into the main dealer's room so this second room was added for this show. Art first setup at this show several years ago and didn't to well. He told me wasn't coming back but under the new management of Martin Grams he tried again. I hope he did well enough this time to keep coming back.
Art Harvey
Art with some photos from James Bond movies which include Sean Connery, Ursula Andress and Luciano Paluzzi who was at this show.
Gene Carpenter
The Leader's favorite comic book dealer Gene Carpenter with three Dell comics featuring Annette Funicello and two examples of the very rare Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse Club Magazine with Annette on the cover. I have been searching for nice condition copies of this magazine on ebay for several years but they don't turn up. Gene's copies are nice enough which means I couldn't afford them.
Gene Carpenter
Gene with the Gold Key comic Johnny Quest based on the ABC cartoon TV series from 1964-1965.
This concludes the Leader's Report on this show. I look forward to seeing all my dealer friends next year.
