11 July 2013 I bought from Wayne Ehrmann, owner of Zeno’s Books, this new oversize hardcover from IDW publishers, The Best of EC Artist’s Edtion. I passed on the chance several months ago to order IDW’s Wally Wood’s EC Stories: Artist Edition because of the high price and unwieldly 15″ x 22″ size. But the Wood book sold out immediately and only a few copies were turning up on ebay and Amazon.com for about $400 which was more than double the publishers price of about $180. Later I saw how well made the book was from photos on the internet and I realized my mistake. Now I want the book and will have to pay a lot more than Wayne would have charged me. 

This new IDW EC book serves as a consolation prize for missing the Wood book. Wayne only charged me about $114.00 for it which was more than 30% off the publisher’s price so I can do a little gloating when this book shows up on ebay in a few weeks for over $200.00. The book’s cover shows the great Frank Frazetta cover from Weird Science-Fantasy #29 and includes the nicely done Ray Bradbury story drawn by Al Williamson “A Sound Of Thunder.” I left it in the shrinkwrap for now in case I decide to sell it later instead of keeping it.
