Here's Tony Alexander, owner of the Gotham Super Car. Tony displays his model of the Batmobile at many collector shows. I last saw him at the Mid Atlantic Nostalgia Con in Maryland in 2012. |

There weren't many babes at this show. But the Leader did find this one intriguing. |

The Leader's favorite comic convention babe, Sunny Stoudemire as the Red Queen from the book Through The Looking Glass. The Bettie Page print is owned by Wayne Ehrmann of Zeno's Books in Chesapeake, Virginia. |

Here's Sunny with a print of artist Jack Kirby's Fighting American character. Price is $120. |

Daniella Frazetta & Stacey Frazetta |
Daniella and Stacey of Frazettaprints4u with a Frank Frazetta print of "Indomitable." This image was used on the cover of the Lancer paperback book Conan The Warrior in the 1960s. The Leader had an early edition of this print hanging in his Air Force dorm room when he was stationed at Lowry AFB in Colorado in 1978. Daniella is Frank Frazetta's granddaughter and Stacey is his daughter-in-law. The Leader last saw these ladies at the Baltimore Comic Con in September 2013. The Frazetta Museum is going to reopen in Pennsylvania in 2014 and the Leader is planning a trip there to photograph the paintings. |

Daniella Frazetta with the Frazetta book White Indian from Vanguard Press. Of course the Leader has a copy. |
Mario with two Avon science fiction comic books the Leader likes, Strange Worlds #1 and #4 from the 1950s. The #4 has a cover by Wally Wood. |
Mark Overby of Black Dog Collectables with two comic books that have nice monster covers, Space Adventures #2 1952 from Charlton and Showcase #20, 1959 with the first appearance of Rip Hunter Time Master from DC. |
Mark Nathan of Cards & Comics Collectibles in Reistertown, Maryland promotes the largest comic book convention on the East Coast, the Baltimore Comic Con, attended every year by the Leader. |
Mark with a nice copy of Detective Comics #149, 1949 with a Joker cover. |
Guy Rose of Space Mountain Comics. Guy is the co-promoter of the Virginia Comic Con. At right is Jim Frost who does a lot of business with Guy. |
Guy Rose with two expensive comics, Green Lantern #1, 1941 from DC which the Leader has no interest in and Amazing Spider-Man #14, 1964 which he is very interested in. Sadly the Leader's interest or lack of interest is of no consequence since he can't afford either one of them. |

Shelton Drumm of Heroes Aren't Hard To Find is one of the largest comic book dealers in the Southeast and promotes the Heroes Convention comic book show in Charlotte, North Carolina. That show has been running annualy since 1982. |

Shelton Drumm with two early 1950s Atlas comic books. |

The Leader's friend Jim Frost at dealer Gene Carpenter's table with the Atlas comic Strange Stories of Suspense #13, 1957. The Leader and Jim Frost go back a long way. I first met Jim at a comic show in Virginia Beach in 1993 and have been friends with him every since. |
Jim Frost at Gene Carpenter's table with a rare Atlas comic, Speed Carter Spaceman #6, 1954 with a great Joe Maneely cover. This title only lasted six issues. The Leader would like to read these comics and has been waiting in vain for many years for Marvel to reprint them in its Atlas Era line of Masterworks hardcover books. Jim bought this book from Gene Carpenter and the Leader is waiting for Jim to post it on the CGC boards to see what the price is going to be. |
George Mihalik with a high grade rare 1950s detective magazine with a nice painted cover. George attends a lot of collector shows and often has interesting items to sell or trade. I've known George since the late 1990s when I used to see him at the Tyson's Corner comic book show in Northern Virginia. He is one of the few people on planet Earth to be invited to the Leader's Lair in Virginia Beach to view some of the Leader's collectible artifacts. |
Gene Carpenter of All American Comics is the Leader's favorite comic book dealer. I last saw Gene at the Baltimore Comic Con and the Mid Atlantic Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Con in September 2013. I'll see him next at the Williamsburg Film Festival in March 2014. Gene's price on this Warren Magazine Blazing Combat #1, 1965 with Frank Frazetta cover is an astounding $1,500. The condition is ultra high grade and Gene says there were no copies of this book in the Warren warehouse like most of the Warren magazines were. The Movie Comics #2 from 1939 with Andy Devine cover is an adaptation of the John Wayne movie Stagecoach. It is fairly cheap at $425 since it is missing the centerfold. |

Lewis Forro, George Milhalik, Shelton Drumm, Jim Frost, Gene Carpenter |
Here's about 200 years of comic book collecting experience packed into a tiny geographic area at Gene Carpenter's table. Each of these men have collecting comics for at least 40 years. |
