Your narrator, the Leader
The Leader attended the Williamsburg Nostalgia Fest in Virginia 7, 8 and 9 November 2018. For the previous 20 years this show was named the Williamsburg Film Festival with a mostly Western theme and was held in March each year. The owners thought the demographics for collectos of Western movie and TV memorabalia was declining so they changed the name of the show, changed the annual date to November and are seeking to broaden the show's appeal by including vendors with other types of collectibles besides just Western. The new show is still held at the same Clarion Hotel in Williamsburg, Virginia. The Leader was glad to see his favorire vendors at this show: Gene Carpenter, Martin Grams, C.P. Lockhart, Keith Hurd and John Del Gaudio. The Leader was also pleased that his traveling companion to comic books shows, Jim Frost, was able to make it for one day to see his main comic book trading partner Gene Carpenter.

Gene Carpenter and C.P. Lockhart
Here’s the Leader’s favorite comic book dealer Gene Carpenter talking with another friend of the Leader, C.P. Lockhart of Roanoke, VA. Gene is just staring to place his expensive Golden and Silver Age comic books on his long display wall. Both of these gentlemen always attend this show as vendors. I’ll next see Gene at the VA Comicon in Richmond on 8 December.
