The Leader notes with regret today’s announcement by the hobby magazine publisher Krause Publications that its magazine for comic book collectors, Comics Buyer’s Guide (CBG) is ceasing publication. CBG was one of the oldest comic book fanzines.  CBG’s predecessor The Buyer’s Guide to Comic Fandom (TBG) published by Alan Light first started in 1971. Light sold out to Krause Publications in the early 1980s and TBG changed its name to CBG.
